Mala means ‘garland’ in Sanskrit. Traditionally malas are used to keep your mind focused on meditation or to count mantra sets.

Your mala becomes infused with your energy, intentions and the energy of a mantra. Wearing it as a necklace is a constant reminder of this.

Malas are made up of 108 rudraksha beads. This is a sacred number. The beads are said to have a protective and healing quality. The ‘guru’ bead at the end holds the energy.
